5-7 pm

During the annual BVWS Halloween Journey, the Boulder Valley Waldorf campus is transformed into a magical world through which children and parents may travel. The individual presentations touch hearts with messages of wisdom and humor, as well as images of light that will live on through the cold and dark season of the year. The Halloween Journey is a wonder-filled celebration. Music and campfires greet guests before they set off with their Shepherd to guide them on colorfully lit paths, through a dim graveyard, past many jack-o-lanterns and scarecrows. This enchanting experience is geared towards little ones, making it a lovely alternative to the “mass-produced” and often gory Halloween experience.

The journey through campus will take approximately 40-45 minutes. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your time slot to enjoy live music and hot cider by the campfire before setting off on your Halloween Journey.

Why is BVWS Halloween Journey always held on Halloween?

This event is designed with little ones in mind, though all ages are welcome to attend.  The BVWS Halloween Journey is meant to bring wonder, not fright! The school has a long tradition of holding this very special event as an alternative to the often gory – now “mass-produced” – Halloween. If you or your family have already developed neighborhood or family traditions with your older children, please continue to enjoy those and plan to volunteer instead at another event this year! For families with younger children, please consider stepping into the wonder-filled Halloween experience here at BVWS!! Both ticket sales and volunteering hours help to support BVWS and all the magic year-round!!
