Silver Harvest Festival

Celebrating 25 years at BVWS and 100 years of Waldorf Education

Saturday, Sept. 29th 10am-2pm

This Autumn one-day event brings the school and extended community together to celebrate the Boulder Valley Waldorf School (formerly Shepherd Valley Waldorf School) community! This free celebration encompasses a variety of activities for children and adults, food vendors, music and entertainment including Michaelmas dragon pageant, pony rides, the lanyard man, scarecrow decorating contest, parent association craft and school store. Raffles prizes will include Halloween Journey Tickets and the Primo Parking Spot!
We are hoping for a big turn out of families from 25 years of the school so please help us to spread the work. Tell your friends! Invite alumni and your neighbors!
Alumni? Please RSVP to 25@bvwaldorf.org so that we can connect you with former classmates!

What is Michaelmas in the Waldorf Tradition? Children in the grades perform in a “Michaelmas Pageant” of songs and a story enacting a tale of courage where Michael tames “the dragon”. Indeed, this time of year, when the harvest is brought in, the days begin to shorten, and the long winter nights approach, each of us looks within and may encounter our own “dragons” to overcome.
