Chris Delgado – 4th Grade Teacher 2023-24

Mr Chris Delgado has more than 15 years experience working with ages 6-18 in a variety of educational and extracurricular subjects. Building supportive teams to stage collaborative productions is a specialty. For this past school year, Chris has been a much-loved substitute teacher here at BVWS, particularly in the middle school. Chris is joining the faculty after a successfully revitalizing the Boulder Circus Center youth programming with thriving sold-out classes.

He has taught and performed across the US and internationally in Australia, Switzerland and Abu Dhabi, winning awards and directing youth productions in physical theatre and circus arts. Chris has also supported students ages 8-18 as they study and maintain their grades in a non-profit after-school program dedicated to under-served children in Chicago. There as a Lead Programing Instructor, he was also able to lead after-school classes at local public, private, and Waldorf schools and directed a rotating series of in-school residencies for all grade levels.

Chris is excited to shift his teaching focus to the Waldorf Curriculum and to support a full class of students as their primary teacher. The deep relationships and opportunities for student growth that a class teacher role offers feels like a natural evolution of his work with young people to date.
