RALPH DOANE:

8th Grade Middle School Teacher 2022-23

Ralph Doane has 25 years of experience in both Waldorf Education and other independent middle and high school settings. As an upper grades teacher at Shining Mountain Waldorf School for more than a decade, Ralph enjoyed excellent relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. In addition to his specialized mathematic and language instruction, Ralph co-directed and taught a hugely successful middle school circus program for 13 years, coached middle school volleyball, and served as a middle school boarding school housemaster.

Ralph is a boundlessly positive and social individual. He enjoys being an ambassador for the adolescent child on their journey to young adulthood. Flexible and skilled at maintaining a sense of humor, Ralph believes strongly in creating a stimulating learning environment in which students can develop to their full potential. With 25 years of progressive experience in education, Ralph is delighted to bring his extensive expertise to the BVWS Middle School team.
